Ice and Snow climbing course in the Mont Blanc area
This course is designed for those with no previous or little experience of Ice-Snow Climbing or for those who want to refresh their existing summer skills and get an introduction to Ice-Snow climbing in the Alps. Our course is run with small groups therefore allowing maximum flexibility to adjust the level to each participant’s as much as possible.
The course will focus on the following four main areas: Mixed Alpine Climbing, Ice Climbing, Snow Climbing, Glacier Travel and Avalanche Awareness.
Course Aim.
– Understand and try to realize an accurate analysis of the ice and snow.
– Improve your balance and body position.
– Anchoring as precisely as possible your ice axes and crampons.
– Safety instructions, use of ice screws and different systems of protection.
– Abseil & belay technics on ice.
– Multi pitches ice climbing routes and Snow routes in the High Mountain.
